Junior Class Council
President: Michael Conlon, Stanford Hall
Hey guy! My name is Michael Conlon, and I’m a junior majoring in Political Science with minors in Business Economics and Constitutional Studies. I’m from the world-renowned Electric City: Scranton, Pennsylvania, home of “The Office.” On campus, I am very lucky to call Stanford Hall my home away from home. Some of my activities include Stanford Hall government, The Shirt Project, and standing in line to play basketball at Rolfs on Fridays. I enjoy talking about all sports, especially soccer, basketball, and Notre Dame football, politics, and Dunder Mifflin paper products. This will be my third year on class council, and I am very excited for what can be accomplished in the upcoming year. I can’t wait to get started working with everyone!
Vice President: Dan Hopkinson, Dillon Hall
Hi everyone! My name is Dan Hopkinson and I am the Vice-President of JCC. I am currently studying chemical engineering and I live in Dillon Hall. I hail from Park Ridge, IL, but I'll tell you I'm from Chicago. This is my first year on Class Council, but I am so excited to service the Class of 2019. Quick facts about me: I have been told I have trustworthy hair, my favorite activity is complaining about my major, and my great-great-great-great-great-great grandpa signed the Declaration of Independence. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me or any of the other officers or stop by the Class Council Office (203 LaFun); I am literally always there!
Treasurer: Eddie Griesedieck, Zahm House
Hi, my name is Eddie Griesedieck. I am from Zahm House but this year I will be living off campus! This is my third year on class council, but this is my first year taking over the role of treasurer for class council. I am excited to assume my new role and work alongside with the rest of the class council members and executives alike. On campus, I am a business student majoring in marketing as well as psych; I also serve as a TA for the introductory management course. I also work as a brand representative on campus. You can usually find me on campus at North Dining Hall or in the CDS of the Hesburgh library. Feel free to reach out to me for any questions regarding campus activities, or especially for good places to eat off campus.
Secretary: Jane Driano, Welsh Family Hall
Hi, everyone! I'm Jane Driano, a proud whirlwind from Welsh Family Hall. After switching my major five times, I am studying Pre-Health and Italian Studies. Yes, the dream is to be a doctor in Italy but I am still working out the practicality of that. This year marks my third term on Class Council and I'm excited to work with such an enthusiastic and fun group of people! Additionally, on campus I volunteer at the DNA Learning Center, work for ISLA in O'Shag, serve as an EM at Basilica Masses, and am part of Hall Council. If I'm not at any of those places, I can be found in line for a Recker's smoothie or taking a nap, regardless of where I am. I am passionate about my pronunciation of bag (did I say I'm from Minnesota?) and Birkenstocks (as the unofficial campus rep). Feel free to reach out with any questions about or suggestions for the upcoming year!
Matthew Babuskow, Carroll Hall
Hi! My name is Matt Babuskow and I’m a Finance and Economics major living in Carroll Hall. I’m originally from Plainfield, Illinois, a southwest suburb of Chicago, next to the town of Naperville. Apart from being apart of JCC, I’m the treasurer of the Club Baseball Team, and am involved in clubs on campus such as SIBC, Investment club, and Matriculate. When I’m not buried in homework, you can usually find me playing some kind of sport, particularly basketball or of course baseball. I can confidently say that I probably have the best calves on all of Junior Class Council, due to the fact that I have to walk 100 miles from my dorm just to make it to Debartolo hall on time. Joking aside, I’m very excited to be apart of the council in order to help create events that will positively influence both our campus and surrounding community.
Juan Esteban Baus, Keenan Hall
Juan Esteban is a Science-Business major originally from Quito, Ecuador but was born in Voorburg, The Netherlands and has lived right outside of Washington D.C. in McLean, VA for most of his life. Despite having been asked for years, he still cannot choose a singular place to call home and identifies both VA and Ecuador as such. A Keenan Hall resident as well, JuanEsteban is also involved with the Sports Medicine department at Notre Dame where he works as a Student Athletic trainer. He hopes that one day, God-willing, and with a lot of luck will make it to medical school to realize his dream of becoming a doctor. Additionally, he's worked with the ad hoc policy and student life departments of student government, and is the president of Hesburgh's Heroes- a club which helps raise funds and awareness for Andean Health and Society, an organization founded by the late Father Hesburgh and Dr. David Gaus, a Notre Dame alumn. He suggests you now go look this up as you're probably curious what amazing work they do and is looking forward to another year helping organize amazing events for the ND Class of 2019!

Hey friends! My name is Mary Carroll and I'm from Portsmouth, Rhode Island. No, I don't know everyone in the entire state, and yes, it only takes about an hour to drive across the whole state. On campus, I'm blessed to call Ryan Hall home. Catch me every Tuesday in Ryan baking and hanging out with the coolest priest, Father Joe, aka FJ. When I'm not baking for hours (and avoiding schoolwork), I'm on the Make A Wish club and teach as a catechist at a local parish. I enjoy long walks around the lakes and eating Ben and Jerry's half-baked from the Huddle. Fun fact: My dog's name is Rudy and within a few minutes of meeting you, I'll probably show you a picture of him—he's a mini-goldendoodle so basically he's a perpetual golden retriever puppy. Luke McNabola, O'Neill Hall
Luke is an American Studies major in the College of Arts and Crafts. He thinks that he is particularly cool because he happened to be born and raised in the city of Chicago rather than a suburb near Wisconsin. Luke is best known for being the line leader in his third grade classroom and coming in 4th place in a kindergarten spelling bee that only involved 4 people. In 6th grade, he aspired of becoming a rock star after playing Guitar Hero, but quickly gave up on his dreams after failing to beat the game on “easy mode.” He is also a great dancer, athlete, and napper, minus the dancing and athlete part. He loves playing basketball, and once scored somewhere between 35 and 0 points in a single interhall game. Luke looks forward to adding his flawless résumé and past experiences to a great JCC.

Meghan is a neuroscience major and purple weasel from Pasquerilla West Hall. When not talking about how Cbus is the best city in the world (they gave us Twenty One Pilots and the world’s eighth largest zoo… that’s right, EIGHTH!), Meghan spends her time playing with Zebrafish in Galvin, dancing for Dance Co., working as a tour guide, hanging out with retired Holy Cross priests/brothers at the Holy Cross House, and adding pictures of ND squirrels to her “all my friends are squirrels” album on Facebook. Give her coffee and some Office quotes, and she’ll love you forever.

Hi! I am a junior studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Bioengineering here at Notre Dame. I hail from the land of cheesesteaks and Rocky, none other than Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I am also a member of the Shamrock Leadership Series, the Society of Women Engineers, Engineers without Borders, and McGlinn Hall soccer, basketball, and flag football! However, Class Council is something near and dear to my heart.
